Allegra Rodriguez
At just 12 years old, Allegra Rodriguez came to the United States alone, fleeing domestic violence at the hands of her father. As a first-generation Mexican American, Allegra transformed her pain into purpose, building a life of strength, determination, and inspiration.
With three degrees, two in aviation and one in interdisciplinary studies she now works for one of the largest aviation companies in the world and is pursuing her dream of becoming a pilot. As Miss Texas Latina, Allegra uses her platform to empower others, specially latinos to celebrate cultural pride, and provide her community with the tools to succeed.
In addition to her achievements in aviation, Allegra is a successful model and the owner of Allebrijes Accessories, where she honors Latino heritage in a modern, vibrant way. Through her volunteer efforts, she inspires the next generation by teaching youth to use flight simulators and by writing a bilingual children’s book, Barbaras Adventures, encouraging young girls to explore the skies and embrace their dreams.
Allegras story is a testament to the power of resilience and courage. From a 12-year-old girl seeking refuge to a trailblazer breaking barriers, she shows that with determination and heart, anything is possible.
